The experience was absolutely excellent. The event was well organised and professional, with the exception of some of the bad jokes told by our groups organiser. We had three sessions of 15 minutes on the track throughout the morning, interspersed with 15 minute garage sessions teaching us things like track position and body on bike position. I learned a lot as well as going very fast (for me, 120mph The only thing that has really disappointed me is the photos the professional photographer took on the day. Paul's pictures have caught the action well, mine on the other hand seem to all have been taken on the first slow session when we were getting to know the track. The quality of the pictures are really good, but the action caught is really lame. Maybe it is just my riding style, but from what I remember I certainly had more action than is pictured! September 27 6 days and coutingWell there are now only 6 days to go until Paul and I hit the track at Donington Park at the Ron Haslam Race School. I haven't been on my bike for while, due to a mixture of seeing some really graphic crashes pictures, the weather and generally not being bothered to ride in the dark to and from work. The weather forcast for tomorrow looks pretty good so I'm going to take off my tinted visor, put on a clear one and hit the road in the morning (hopefully shiny side up My back brake light isn't work, so I've got a new switch for it and Paul and I will be fitting it on Saturday afternoon. The weather forcast for next week looks pretty optimistic considering it is England in October. Lets just hope and pray that everything goes in our favour for next Wednesday, unlike last time. September 13 Mission of Mercy - Sponsor a ChildI've just sponsored
Babulal Hambram from Jharkhand in India. He is one month younger than my eldest son Isaac. Isaac's birthday is coming up next week, he wants a Nintendo DS and an iPod Shuffle. I can only imagine that the money spent on these 'toys' would improve the life of Babulal and the millions of children like him. My prayer is that: "God will grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference" If that is your prayer to then why not go to the Mission of Mercy web site and find out more. Our God is a God of power so take the things on your mind to Him.Philippians 4:6 (New International Version)Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. |
